The Bright Forge Empty The Bright Forge

A small Forge sits alongside the Tavern. Tools lay scattered alongside the anvil and a small wooden sign hangs next to the doorway. It reads: "The Bright Forge, Where Steel Can Shine Brighter Than Fire."

The Bright Forge Empty Re: The Bright Forge

After heating the forge, Degren sits himself down in front of the furnace, pumping the bellows to coax a bright glow from the coals. He pulls his bastard sword from the scabbard and lays it upon the anvil, using a file to slowly wear the peen away from the bottom of the pommel. Once finished, the handle, pommel, and guard fall away from the tang, leaving the bare blade behind. Slowly, he reheats the blade in the forge, heating the metal until its malleable, and folding it over itself, time and time again, until a single block of steel remains. With it, and a few finer pieces of metal, he reforges the blade anew, making the blade stronger and sharper than before.

(OOG: I'm melting down my sword, yielding 4 units of metal (losing one in the process) and using another 6, I make my bastard sword exceptional quality.)
