(Special thanks to Phineas - a.k.a. Brian - for reminding me of the event name).

So, favorite memories of the weekend event?

Ah yes, Edmon of Toth (did I spell that right?). Absurdly funny, especially when being threatened with Awareness education.

Probably not a "favorite" memory, but it was interesting going off into the forest on Saturday night, with a broken hand and a glow stick (fire spell), searching for Horns' lost medical kit. You know something's going right when there's no OOG danger, and all of the cast are back in the inn, but you still feel that bit of terror from the IG monsters that might still be around...

...it also led to a bit of comical outrage when I managed to bring the kit back, only to have everyone's broken limbs magically heal themselves a minute or two later.

And then there was the late-night search for Torvallis...

The whole "knight to re-member" scenario, as Horns and I are calling it, was absurdly fun.
(Us: We need to cut off your leg.
Marcus: Okay! ... Why, exactly?
Camaen: For the empire!
Marcus: Okay! ... Will I get it back?

Borin: CENTURIAN! BEFORE YOU CHOP YOUR LEG OFF, COME KILL THIS CHICKEN!)
Chopping off and re-attaching a leg was very fun in itself, and Horns truly enjoyed learning more about humanoid body structures and how they work.

Running around desperately trying to stabilize everyone before they bled out when the skeletons attacked was so thrilling! My heart was pumping; I was just as worried as Horns that someone would bleed out before I could get stabilize them.

Watching the goings-on in the Earth Circle was hilarious! ("Heya-hoya-wantee-mana" in particular stands out, and Sophie's reaction to peanut gallery comments).

I second the Boris/Anastasia spin-off!

Oh! All the Incredible Volk stuff was fun! ("Now I make my great escape!" *Barely budges his seat, unable to break the bonds*,
Torvallis!'s comments on getting out of our current Volk contract and signing up a new Volk, the confusion over all the official documents)

The Centurian constantly asking wildlife for passports was also quite fun.

Our little gathering after Decima started showing her deed was fun.
(Decima: *Shows deed to Isle of the Dead*
Torvalis!: Ah, this is fantastic! You owe us roads, aqueducts, a hospital, (and so on)!

Marcus: (He just looked so happy the whole time)

Horns: Well, I do think we could use a hospital.
Torvallis!: See, our free healthcare system says we need one!

Borin: But why do we need roads? We have no wagons, and no oxen to pull the wagons we don't have!
Torvallis!: ... To get to the hospital!
Timmean: Volk should get a wagon. We could call it... Volk's wagon.

Torvallis!: Yes, so we will need aqueducts to move the water away from the Watering Hole.
Opal (I believe): You can't move the entire ocean!
Torvallis!: You can try!)

Whenever Horns sat down and had a talk with a character (Volk and Borin during watch, Opal, Decima) I always really enjoyed talking about everyone's pasts and stuff!

I just woke up from a very long nap, so I can't think of any others, but I had a really fantastic time and I remember laughing a lot so there must be more! I'll probably be adding to this.

There were a lot of great and comical moments throughout the game, but between the fake chant, the enthusiastic leg surgery, and the passport requests, I think Marcus was probably the most comical character. I'll add one more that I think was his (as best as I can remember it):

"On my travels I've heard of a legendary place; it's miraculous, really, a place where there's food in such abundance, that anyone can just walk in and pick whatever they want. Quite the story."

Borin (I think): "And what's the name of this mythical land?"

Marcus: "The Dominion."

Also, I have to say that after hearing so much about Sophie, it was pretty cool to actually meet her in-game. It gives and interesting bit of continuity between us and the Toronto group. Though I had to constantly remind myself not to act as if we'd already met.

I can tell from the above that I missed a lot, with the running around and changing characters.

I loved "The Incredible Volk!", "Sophie Arrives", "Psycho Chicken", "The Necrodancer" and "Surgery for Beginners" from a distance.

And "Widdershins, obviously...".

Close up, I really liked the reactions to "The Wiz" and "Edwin of Toth".

The Love Chicken had a very suitable ending.

The dancing skellies was a real blast!

And of course, Boris and Anastasia danced off into the moonlight, after the snacks were served!

Then the final stumbling back to the Inn, the whole lot of PC's broken, beaten and drained, to lick your wounds … priceless!!!!

So I finally have the interwebs and time to respond!

A lot of my favourite moments came with the utterance of "oh shit".
Marcus, when the skeletons started moving
The Necrodancer, when Marwel's name was called.
It was beautiful, I loved it.

I WAS SOPHIE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!! I WAS SOPHIE AGAIN I WAS SOPHIE AGAIN!!!!!!
I was incredibly nervous about playing her again. I was worried if I could but it was like slipping on a comfy jacket!
It felt great to be teaching again, nobody ever asks for more than pulse finding, which is good but Sophie wants more.
Finding that people are just as crazy on the Isle of the Dead as they are in Carreg Wynn was also pretty enjoyable. It was like she never left home.

Being Marwel was a lot of fun. After she popped I ran back to cast laughing.

Watching everyone hobble themselves in and deal with everything. Watching Timmean flip out when people were just healing on their own. It was great.

Thanks for a great first event!

Sharon

This was my first Epoch game. I didn't spend a lot of time with the ritual scrolls once decoded and didn't get a chance to participate in the circle creation attempts, nevertheless, I was kept very busy and had a lot of fun.

Favorite moments in game:

- Decoding ritual scrolls with Malva.
- Falling in love with my meal before slaughtering it.
- Jeering Marcus Lanius that he could not catch and slaughter a chicken as best as I.
"It's practically serving itself on a silver platter."
- Reading a document left on the table and getting caught. Very Happy
- Sharing a scroll in exchange, to soften the blow.
- Seeing a ghost out the window entrancing Opal and screaming to pile out of the tavern.
- The "AHA!" moment of finding a homemade longsword I can wield, finding out it was really heavily balanced and thus getting my ass kicked by a skeleton. Sorry, guys.
- Jumping behind the Necrodancer holding a knife to its throat.
- "What am I doing? What are we doing?! I'm going back to save the others even if I die trying." Running out of the woods by myself right before being called out.
- The unexpected friend who came to sit by me, both of us passing out unconscious and Helen and I laughing hysterically OOC as we waited to be found.

I loved the realism of monsters introduced. It suited the land and where it is geographically.
