Farewell Holdfast

[October 17th, late afternoon]

After talking to Maximilian, Ardin heads to the earth circle and spends the remainder of the afternoon and part of the night in prayer to lord earth. Satisfied, he then heads to the bunkhouse to sleep.

The following dawn, as soon as it becomes light enough to see outside, Ardin gathers his few belongings and waits on the deck for Max to awaken, taking in the calm, crisp morning air.

Any shadows on the deck only turn slightly before the inn door opens and Maximilian joins Ardin on the deck. He has his light bundle of provisions slung across his shoulder and is wearing his sword. 'Good morning, Ardin. Are you rested well? I am ready to head out if you are. I have some fruit and bread if you have not yet eaten.'

Ardin looks over his shoulder when he hears the inn door open, and stands to greet Max.

"Good morning Maximilian, I'm ready to take to the road as well. I've already eaten thanks, we'll keep that for the journey ahead."

With that, Ardin picks up his pack, slings it over his shoulder, and heads with Max out of town.
