Multiple Characters, Backstory Conflicts, and Forum Stuff - Oh my!

Post by Ira the Elf on Thu Jan 22, 2015 4:14 pm

So as most of you have noticed I have two characters, Val and Ira. I'd just like to give a disclaimer saying that no they don't share backstory info, this is the first time they've met. However, Travis and I were having a discussion and he brought up a very good point - what, exactly, are the rules governing the play of multiple characters on the forums and in game?

Ok, so the basic rule is, play them as they should be played. Don't meta and cheese it. By meta-ing, I mean if say Val has a fear but has never shown that fear, Ira wouldn't know and so Ira shouldn't be played with that knowledge and visa versa.

Do your best to keep your characters separate in your head so you correctly remember skills and the like. So if Val is all fire and Ira has never touched fire, don't throw fire spells as Ira and visa versa.

When it comes to divying EXP, you can do as you wish and dump all or half or whatever into the characters. You do not get the weekend's EXP for both characters. So Val wouldn't get 4 EXP and Ira wouldn't get 4 EXP. The player gets the 4 EXP and spends it how they see fit.

Big rule in multiple characters to a single player, max 4 characters.
