Harassement Policy

For the health of the club, we need to institute clear policies that will protect our members and our game.
We take 1. the well-being and enjoyment of our members, and 2. the spirit of the game to be equally the club’s prime good. To that end, we are clarifying our practices and procedures on cheating and on harassment.
Our practice has been for the Artistic Director to gather information on problematic situations and then consult the Storytelling Team, communally assessing them and coming to a decision. We aim to be fair, considering the level and the context of the infraction. This practice will continue for the foreseeable future.
We reserve the right to intensify the consequences of misbehaviour at need.
1. Cheating. Cheating includes: playing as though the character has higher levels of skills than are accounted for on the character sheet, eg. playing as though the character has more health, more spells, or higher weapon skills than are recorded on the character sheet; using skills that are not recorded on the character sheet.
Three warnings are considered a full strike.
a. Any player who accumulates six warnings (two full strikes) is suspended for a month.
b. Any player who accumulates a third full strike (nine warnings) is suspended from the club for two months.
c. Any player who accumulates a fourth full strike (twelve warnings) is suspended from the club for a year (12 months).
d. Any player who accumulates another strike after returning from a 12-month suspension is expelled from the club.
2. Harrassment. Any club member who avoidably causes another club member to feel social distress or discomfort will be considered to have harassed that club member.

b. Any player who accumulates two full strikes (six warnings) is suspended from the club for two months.
c. Any player who accumulates three full strikes (nine warnings) is suspended from the club for a year (12 months)
d. Any player who accumulates another warning after a 12-month suspension is expelled from the club.
3. Criminality. Any club member who steals from, endangers, bullies, or assaults another club member is expelled from the club immediately and permanently. Criminal charges may follow.
4. Multiple-category infractions. Any club member can gather strikes in both cheating and harassment. Any club member who gathers strikes in both cheating and harassment is subject to suspension and/or expulsion without notice, depending on severity.
