Waiting for Taka

[Winnie]

In the early evening hours, Winnie enters the inn figuring that this would be the usual time that Taka would be present. She grabs an apple to munch on and sits, waiting patiently for the psychic.

[Kuromori, Taka]

Taka enters the inn and grabs an apple for herself, not paying much attention to anyone else in the room.

[Winnie]

Quickly, Winnie swallows the piece of apple she was eating and makes her way over to Taka.
"Good evening," she smiles trying to hold back her glee but failing. "Now that the end of the world has passed us by, perhaps we could continue my training? If you don't mind that is."

[Kuromori, Taka]

"Sure, but in exchange, you don't know how to read by any chance, do you?"

[Winnie]

"why, yes! I do know how." She cocks her head to the side curiously. "Are you looking for someone to read something or looking for a teacher?"

[Kuromori, Taka]

"I'm looking for a teacher. Usually I would get my brother to read for me but he's not been around for a while and it's really starting to get inconvenient."

[Winnie]

Winnie's smile widens. "I would love to teach you! To be honest I've been preparing flash cards to teach my new niece or nephew to read and they haven't even been born yet. I did leave them in Applevale but I'm sure I can make up some more pretty quick."

[Kuromori, Taka]

"Great!" says Taka enthusiastically, although a little embarrassed to be learning at a child's level. "And I'll teach you how to impart states!"

[Winnie]

"You already know meanings of words so you just need to learn the letters and how they're pronounced. Shouldn't take too long. I can have flash cards done up by tomorrow." Winnie nods, making a mental note to get the cards done up quickly.

[Kuromori, Taka]

"Okay. Do you want your training now or afterwards?"

[Winnie]

Winnie thinks for a moment, "Now would be best I think. Then I can work on the flash cards tonight and in the morning to be ready for tomorrow."

[Kuromori, Taka]

"Alright." She briefly stretches her arms. "Let's get started."

"This is going to be a lot like transferring states, but more specific and more forceful. You need to focus on the specific discipline you wish to impart and force it onto someone."

[Winnie]

Winnie nods, listening to the woman's words intently.

"When I impart a state to someone who isn't psychic, does the knowledge of how to use it come with it or would I maybe have to explain how?"

[Kuromori, Taka]

"Depends on the person. Some people can figure it out on their own, but others need more instruction. If they've had the state imparted before, I find they can usually remember what to do with it. I also find most people figure out sudden clarity pretty quickly."

[Winnie]

"I'll keep that in mind if I need to impart something complicated." She smiles, her interest in learning showing clearly on her face.

[Kuromori, Taka]

Taka nods.
"Would you like to try it now?" She extends her hand.

[Winnie]

"Already?" She blinks, "I guess I can give it a try." Taking a few deep breaths, Winnie concentrates, trying to keep her mind focused on a specific ability to give to Taka. Her aura begins to concentrate and swell in her hand. She lightly touches Taka's outstretched hand while focusing on giving her Project Emotion.
"Did it work?"

[Kuromori, Taka]

"Don't just focus on the skill you wish to impart, push it out onto your target."

[Winnie]

"Force it, okay."
Winnie concentrates hard on the state she wishes to impart, and much like using Project Emotion she forces that state outward as she would with a feeling like terror. Again, she touches Taka's arm, her aura pulsing from her hand and into the other's arm.
When Winnie pulls back, she feels a little light headed. "Did it work that time? You should hopefully be able to use project emotion...if you didn't know how to already."

[Kuromori, Taka]

Taka nods, impressed as Winnie imparts the state. She smiles and lets out an awkward huf of a laugh as Winnie mentions that she might know project emotion.

"Well, let's see now."

She taps Winnie on the shoulder: Project Emotion: Triumphant

[Winnie]

Winnie grins, her chest swelling with pride and a look of pure joy on her face. "Thank you," she says with a triumphant huff. "I'll prep the materials to teach you to read tonight then we can start that tomorrow. It'll be fun."

[Kuromori, Taka]

"Great, thank you!"
