Post by Borin Ironhammer Fri Jan 23, 2015 10:12 pm

[November 17th 5:00PM]
Borin bursts in through the door, slightly out of breath. "MERRYWEATHER!!!" He rushes into the kitchen his boots thumping with every step. as he reaches Phineas, he trips up in a loose floorboard as he enters the kitchen.

"Gimme an ale and three helpin's o' whatever yer cookin' there are some extra weapons in the forge that i just finished, they are strong steel and good dwarven make, i just found some nice rocks on my way here they could be worth 10 to fifteen small jewels to the right dwarven collector i'm sure hey would be sufficient payment for the food all the fire mages are startin' to get hard on me nerves and there is a giant fire just outside tavern." He said all in one breath.

He nearly choked on his beard twice but he had to say it all as fast as possible because how else was he going to get dinner if the tavern burnt down.

Ira bounces into the main tavern, thoughts of the strange Elf momentarily banished from her mind. Hearing the commotion in the kitchen she heads over to investigate and pops her head in the door.

"Phineas is everything alright in here?"

Seeing the large Dwarf clearly in a state of distress, Ira grabs a large cask of ale and puts it down on the bar in front of him. She then fetches a spigot from behind the counter and pops out the cork deftly screwing in the spigot. Turning the cask on its side and placing it in the appropriate stand (which Phineas had installed for the Inn's favourite Dwarfish customer). Handing the distraught dwarf an empty flagon she smiles brightly saying:

"Here you go, you can settle up with Phineas later!"

Then, before either the Dwarf or Halfling can answer she skips out of the room and off towards the bunkhouse, proud of a job well done.

The Halfling Tavernkeeper comes up from the "Root Cellar" with a medium sized cask of the very strong apple cider.

"Brother Dwarf, how are you!"

He puts the cider down behind the tavern's long counter.

"I see that you've already been looked after," he noted. "Ira really is a wonder around here!"

The Halfling smiles and nods towards the direction he knows the Elf has exited. Then he shakes his head, and then scoops a big bowl from the simmering pot of rabbit, leak and potato stew.

"There you go, my good brother far!"

He looks at the collection of Dwarven gems.

"Hmmm, maybe we will discuss the value of your stones, later."

[7:00PM]
"I would like to remind ye that yer tavern is about to burn down." said the dwarf right before he took a big mouth full of stew. Within ten seconds Borin had all of his stew devoured. "I'll take another bowl." he said holding the empty bowl out to the halfling. "Those were some damn good taters." He knoew that a fiery death would be a happy one if he had a belly full of potatoes but it took more than a bowl of stew to fill this dwarf's belly.

The Halfling proprietor returns to get the Dwarven Smith another bowl of stew. He takes the time to taste the simmering contents of the cauldron, adds a little salt and few pinches of herbs and stirs it all in. Scooping out a more than level ladle-full into Borin's bowl, he returns to the Dwarf's table.

"There you you, my Dwaren brother!" he says. " I hope that … What did you say about the tavern burning down …?"
