Verbena eats an entire pie

Verbena sits in the corner of the inn, her back against the wall and her boots propped on the table. In her lap, she has an entire one of Hassan's meat pies, which she is eating directly from the tin. Beside her, a tankard of ale.

See you over Verbena by herself Sebastion sits down next to her with a small plate of food and a collection of paper, drawing glyphs and magic circles design but scraps most of them.

[Lillium]

The door to the inn swings open. Lillium Fareway, the cutest halfling of them all, flounces in with a woven basket filled with fabric and a book in hand. Upon seeing Verbena she stops mid stride, and a dumbfound expression falls on her face. With a sigh, a furrowed brow, and a pout, she strides over to (try and probably fail to) loom over her dear friend (who’s being an absolute slob and needs to shape up).

“Verbena... would you like a plate? Or perhaps a fork and knife?”

“I have a spoon,” Verbena replies through a mouthful of pie. She swallows. “A lot of people fail to take advantage of the pricing here. You pay the same amount no matter how much you eat. Logically, the greatest value comes from eating as much as possible.” She scoops up another mouthful. “You want some? Grab a spoon.”

[Torvallis!]

Torvallis! pipes up from a bench behind a table they were lying down on.

"That's a purely cost-wise ways of looking at things. Although it's true that hits the innkeeper's pocketbook the most, eating as much as you can reduces the utility you obtain from the food yourself. If someone told you they had a poison that would make you feel bloated and in pain, that normally costs 2 roughs, but they'll let you eat it for free, would you eat it?

Why then, would you overeat, knowing it costs you the same to eat a good portion as too much?"

"Because I can," Verbena replies loftily. She takes a long sip of ale from her full tankard. A very long sip.
She sighs in frustration, gazing despondently at the few drops left clinging to the bottom. "Lily darling, would you be a dear and refill this? Get a goblet for yourself, we'll share a drink."

[Dimitri]

*Dimitri looks through the back window of the inn, His foolish smile fades at what he sees. With a sigh he steps down off his wood pile*
