A therapeutic coma

[Gull]

(Sunday of November game)

Shortly after she returns from her time in the woods, Rudi and Gull discuss the best way to help him recover. That evening, she puts him into a healing trance.

With Rudi's help (and many, many psychic states), Gull spends the next week in a near-continuous healing trance. He wakes twice a day for meals, gentle movement, hygiene, and a once-over from a medic. During the other 22 hours or so of the day, Gull remains tucked in his bunk, unwakeable.

[Lillium]

Lillium waits until supper is in full swing to strike. Spotting Rudi and Gul’s other hanger on’s either present in The Inn (name pending), or otherwise occupied, she casually saunters to Gul’s room where he’s sleeping.

With a quiet mutter of “Idiot.” under her breath, she dips her favourite quill in ink and proceeds to draw on Gul’s face. Starting with a medium circle around the eye, reminiscent of a monocle. Then, to the upper lip for a tasteful curlicue moustache. Adding a squiggle above the other eye for a shitty extra eyebrow, and finally some kitty whiskers on either cheek.

Satisfied that she’s appropriately made her dissatisfaction known to relevant parties (Gul when he wakes up, Rudi when she wakes him up), Lillium quickly tidies up. She wipes off her quill, refills Gul’s waterskin, tucks the blankets around him a little tighter, and leaves with a final harumph.

Rosco drops by a few times a day. He's decided another month in Holdfast wouldn't be so bad, especially considering his worry for his friend (and the newly encroaching winter). He cracks open the door and takes a peek at Gull, sighing in relief as he sees his chest rise and fall with slumbering breaths. He knows Gull is just in a trance, but some part of him still worries every so often that he's slipped away again. He took so long to come back last time, what if he doesn't come back from his second death?

His check before bed reveals a faint illumination of doodles in black ink. He's not sure who's done it, but he takes a moment to laugh to himself before shutting the door again. At least there is fun to be found in this whole mess.

[Rudi]

Rudi comes in to check on Gull frequently. She grows tired after the first day- saving her states so she can control how long he's unconscious for. He still has physical needs and she is frequently tending to them. (Though she does enlist the help of others as well.) It's an early morning, while she's holding Gull's breakfast, that she notices the graffiti on him.

She sighs, smiles, and sets his breakfast down. Rudi thinks to rub it off- but obviously whoever made this did it as a prank- so she elects to leave it. Gull loves a good prank. She'll just pretend she didn't notice and then, of course, help him clean it.
