Sky departs again

[Skyrius Ventus]

As I tread through a trail on the outskirts of town, I hope to find some odd creatures to add to my bestiary. Knowledge is power they say. I hold the odd red marble in my hand as I pull a small chain from my armor.
I sigh as I sized up the two and decided to attach the marble to the chain which made a handy necklace for the mystical item.
"There." I thought, how snug and nifty it would be to keep it safe. With my sword on my hip, white cloak on my back and my Wide Lens in pocket I feel determined that I will find myself some useful info for my guild.

[Volkihere Malacalo]

Volk saw Sky leaving town past the earth circle, and appears behind him at a distance of four feet, he looks at Sky.
OOG: I'm assuming you are leaving in the direction that all the monsters come from.
"Are you leaving town Sky?"
He looks at you with the usual blank face.

[Skyrius Ventus]

I turned to see Volk and nodded.
"Yes, I'm heading out for a while. I feel the need to find myself. I no longer wish to live a life bound to the Empires ideals. If they tossed me aside so easily, I can't allow myself to have feelings that waver based on my nobility. My place is here with all of you. I need to find myself and build a future for both me and my Guild. I'll be back Volk."

[Skyrius Ventus]

I turned again to Volk
"Also! Alert the Council of my brief absence. Hopefully I will return with some useful outside knowledge."

[Volkihere Malacalo]

Volk holds out his hand.

"I can't stop you from leaving, but I can't let you take it."

[Skyrius Ventus]

Sky squints at Volk
"What? The Marble? Unfortunately Volk, I would offer it to you but you know what could be lurking about in these woods. You have my word I won't use it unless I need to."

[Datura Shinso]

Datura and Allura appear from behind a tree.

"Are you ready to leave, Skyrius?" asks Datura. "I hope you're prepared for our adventure."

[Skyrius Ventus]

I look away from Volk and nod at my two friends,
"Why yes, Volk here was just seeing when we were ready to go. You two have everything you need as well?

[Datura Shinso]

Allura smiles cautiously at Sky.

"Yes, I believe we're ready to go."

[Volkihere Malacalo]

"So you wish to take the marble, one of our greatest defensive weapons, as well as a knight and a mage, the marble wasn't given to you Skyris. Now you wish to take it where it can be stolen? however you are a council member, and to cut you down and take it back right now, wouldn't be a wise choice on my part. Don't abuse it, or you will have hell to pay."

And with that his arm falls off onto the ground, then the skin on his face peals off and turns to sand flowing down to the his face. His flesh just starts falling all around where he was, and blood drips from his armour, until he is but a skeleton, which after a few moments collapses in on itself, and on the to the trail, you see it turn to dust before your very eyes. With the words "I'll be watching." Echoing through the woods.

I shake my head with a smile
"I respect you Volkihere. You're a far better swordsman than I could ever hope to be; however, do not mistake my kindness for weakness. I am a man of truth and honor and I would do ANYTHING to protect this town, and just as I am no longer a dog of the empire, I am also not a dog of Holdfast. I will not abuse this power, and I trust the town to you."
I shout loudly into the forest.
"Let's go." I say to my two companions.

[Skyrius Ventus]

As myself, Datura and Allura walk along the path I can't help but think to myself how much my life has changed. I've made so many friends and some enemies.
I've thrown down my old title of Commander and I've gained my magic back. I glance up to see a small puff of smoke coming from the nearby forest.
"What's that?" I ask myself. I turned to see a small paper sign, hanging from a tree it blew in the wind.
"Tivvets travelling Tailoring service" it read. Hmm, a new shirt or pants wouldn't hurt. I wonder what they have.
"Datura, Allura, let's go see what this Tivvets place is all about.

[Skyrius Ventus]

As we approach the nearby town, I turn to Datura and ask if he can help me. It seems as though I cannot find my metal and I was going to inquire with the townsfolk of this small area about some armor improvements.
"Did you hear that?" I ask Allura. We hear the branches rustling by us.

[Skyrius Ventus]

Before Allura had a chance to respond, a massive bear creature pounced from the trees.
"Draw your blades!" I shouted to my friends. Datura had his sword drawn ready to strike down the beast.

[Allura (Jenn)]

Allura drew her sword swiftly, keeping both eyes locked on the beast in front of her. Without skipping a beat, she swung at the bear, slashing the side of his face.

[Skyrius Ventus]

Sky watched Datura slice the bears stomach. It let out a mighty roar. what do we do? It's huge and thrashing. Before I could even think, he lunged his massive paw at me. I toppled back into the bushes.
To my surprise....I came (gulp) face to face with another bear.
"Allura! Datura! Run!" I jumped up from the ground and ran into the bushes, trying to escape the bears so we could regroup and attack. At that moment I noticed my stomach has taken a pretty bad jab. Its claw slipped between the plate on my armor and cut me. Damn... this isn't good.
