The Earth Circle

[Degren Brightforge]

Degren wanders into the earth circle after a somewhat painful training session with Auron. He glances about, narrowing his eyes suspiciously at the blank, seemingly calm forest. "Volk. You there, lad? You know, if you are there, it can't be very healthy for you being one with the earth all the time. Of course, you could just not be there, leaving me here alone, yelling at trees. Anyway, I'm here for some training in earth magic."

[Volkihere Malacalo]

From behind you.
"What is it you would like to learn Degren Brightforge?"
Volk stands behind you unmoving and ever silent, in a coat and hood.

Degren sighs, and slowly turns around to face Volk, " I'm looking to improve my skill at earth magic and learn a new spell. I've seen it used once or twice. Essentially it holds people in place using the earth. Might be useful in a pinch."

"As you wish." Volk says with a twitch of his fingers energy flys to your chest, he utters the words, "the earth will bind your legs"
The ground begins to climb its way up your leg.
"First you must feel it bind you, then you can learn to cast it."

Degren nods, resisting the urge to struggle against the unrelenting earth, "I've got to say. It's a bit uncomfortable. But I think I can see what you're saying."

"And while you learn that" Volk walks up to Degren, and grabs his head with a gloved hand, "close your eyes." He backs away, while you start to feel your heart rate exelorate, as if your very blood is changing, it feels like flecks of sand are flowing through your veins.. "I'll also impart a bit of more powerful earth magic into your being."

Degren shudders, and struggles against the earth holding his legs in place, "Oh-oh that feels... Wrong..." He shivers and looks up, " Thank you?"

"Oh it's fine, I mean it is never going to go away, and at night while trying to sleep you can still hear it but other then that your good, well execept for... Actually never mind, you will probably be fine."
The earthen claws around your legs begin to loosen and reced back into the earth.
"You must always remember that when we cast an earth spell we are not forceing the earth to do anything, nor are we controlling the a
Earth we are just manipulating the eb and flow of the world around us, we as earth mages do very little, but we just guide the earth, and it does the rest, that is why we say the earth will when we cast a spell."

"Oh, aye, the earth is mightier than the man and all-- Wait, what--what?! Never go away?!"

[Volkihere Malacalo]

"Yahhhh the feeling of sand in your veins that doesn't go away... But hey look on the bright side at least you should never go near magnets again, because well we hope you got sand. Anyway I have taught you what you came to learn ok bye."
And with that Volk disappears again.
