Tending to bee stings

Degren sits, quietly swearing to himself under his breath as he painfully extracts a plethora of bee stingers from his body using a sharp dagger.

*Joy emerges from the woods*

"Ach, eet looks like you have a few boo-boos! Heir, let me look at zat."

[Degren Brightforge]

"Oh thank you!" Degren offers hid arms and hands, " I found this great big hive in the woods... I know it makes mead, so I figured "how hard could it be "... somewhere along the way, I figured smashing it with my shield would be the best thing to do. Figured I'd come back and grab it later on if I could out run them. I could not out run them."

*Joy takes out her medkit, and looks through it for some tweezers*

""How hard could eet be", huh? Vell, I zink I should show you how to properly harvest honey. OK, here zey are.."

*She finds the tweezers and takes them out*

"Hold still. Zis vill hurt a tiny bit."

*True to her word, she takes each them out quickly and it only hurts a tiny bit*

"Vere iz zis hive?"

*She takes out some ointment*

"I would love it of you could show me. That way we can avoid this whole fiasco!" He smiles, " Cmon! I'll show you where I found it." He leads Joy into the woods, just behind the paths next to the earth circle. There, a slightly smashed nest sits, covered in a haze of angry bees.

"So, lesson one: don't smash ze nest vith your shield. Notice how zat did absolutely nozing productive. Also, how vere you zinking of collecting ze honey? Look at eet!"

*Joy takes a closer look at the slightly smashed hive*

"OK, so, ze bees are still aggravated. Ve vill have to vait until ze bees calm down before ve poke at ze hive again. Lesson number two: don't gazer honey from a hive vith aggravated bees. You vill get stung, und you vill not get any honey because you vill be too busy screaming in agony."

*Some time passes. The hive calms down, somewhat..*

"OK. Eet looks passably safe to gazer ze honey. Eet iz time for lesson number three. Hier, take zese gloves und approach ze hive SLOWLY und QUIETLY."

"Alright, stealth... Got it. Lead the way, Bee master!" Degren says, clearly nervous.

*Joy looks at Degren*

"Eets only bees, you know, much less terrifying zan hellions. Now,"

*She approaches at the hive*

"Come closer. Look. Ze bees are tired after being all angry und buzzy."

*She takes out her knife and starts cutting away bits of hive. She holds a piece of honeycomb in her hand and holds it towards Degren, honey oozing from it, larvae crawling out of it. She puts it down. She then holds out the knife to Degren*

She whispers quietly," Now, cut some off. GENTLY now.."

[Degren Brightforge]

"Alright..." Degren takes the knife and slowly cuts off a small piece of honeycomb. It's smaller, and much more jagged than Boy's, but it has a small amount of honey.

" What am I supposed to do when they aren't tired?"

"My last lesson to you: you vill usually get stung beekeeping. Eet vill hurt. But if you vear gloves, und you are quiet und sneaky, you vill be able to harvest ze honey vithout too much trouble.."

*Joy looks at the smashed hive*

"Actually, zere iz one more zing. Don't harvest ze whole hive. Leave some of eet for the bees. Or zere vill be no hives to gather ze next time. Ve should not take much more."

"Thank you very much for you wisdom! I was wondering, do you happen to have any honey I could buy from you? I'm also looking for the Larvae-- I hear they can be quite useful in alchemy."

[Joy Rosewood]

"Yah I vill sell you some honey; I need funds for supplies, you see.. just let me see vat I have.."

"Thanks! Just lemme know how much honey or larvae you have, or are willing to sell!"
