Looking for a tracker to impart some wisdom

[Marr]

Wanders along the forests path looking at flowers and strange imprints next them, tad confused on what would cause them and props up against a near by rock to jot down some notes about his day.

Francis awakens from his daily meditation in the woods. He stands up, stretches, and puts his sandals back on. That's when he notices a figure in the distance. Trying his best not to startle this person, Francis approaches.

"Hello? Ah, Marr is it?"

[Marr]

Looks up from his book a tad surprise to father Francis in the woods

"Oh Hi, Yes your correct"
Holds out a hand to greet
"I was not expecting to see you in the woods, what brings you out?"

[Sage (Cast)]

Francis briefly takes Marr's hand.
"I like to meditate in the woods most days. The inn is too loud and the field is too busy, so it's nice to come out here and collect my thoughts.
What about yourself?"

"Well I tend to avoid overally taking part in large social gatherings so I find peace in coming up in the woods to gather and relax however I been a tad lost on finding some animals for some gathers"

[Sage (Cast)]

"Do you need a hand? I know a little about tracking. Well... mostly sheep. But I'm sure if we put our heads together we can find whatever you're looking for!"

(OOG: I assume you're looking for tracking training. What level do you need training in?)

[Marr]

(OOG: That is correct, and First level)

"I would much appreciate the help, seeing how I can't tell you what these are or what to look for even if it's as common as a trail from one of us."

[Sage (Cast)]

"Okay, well, let's take a look at what we've got..."
Francis bends down to take a closer look at some foliage. He adjusts his glasses and begins to examines some bite marks in the leaves of a shrub.
He laughs to himself briefly when he finds the origin of Marr's confusion.

"Here's your problem right here! See this leaf?" Francis stands back up before continuing. "An animal has taken a large, single bite out of it. And this leaf over here? A smaller animal has taken several very tiny bites. So it seems you've accidentally been tracking two animals at once. No wonder you're stumped, you'd have to be a real pro to be able to do that! But no worries, it's an easy fix. We just have to narrow our search a little bit... For sake of ease, we'll track the larger animal first. You see, the larger the animal, the larger imprint they leave as they travel, which means more clues for the tracker!"

[Marr]

Bends down at the foliage your pointing out a tad confused, then the realization.

"oh I never noticed that they are different"...." alright yeah maybe starting with something bigger might be best, what should one look for a larger animal?

[Sage (Cast)]

"Well, footprints are the easiest thing to track. Other than that..."

Francis raises his hand over his eyes to block the sunlight. He checks around the immediate area for other clues.

"Aha! See that broken branch over there?" he points to a spot behind Marr. "That might be our next clue! Why don't you head over there and check to see how fresh the damage is. If it's freshly broken, I'd say the animal went in that direction."

[Marr]

Looks behind himself trying to figure out where your pointing and eventually getting out of the glare of the sun sees a branch cracked off and heads over to it,
once there I touch the crack feeling the sticky sap from the tree

"um, there is sap I believe that means it is fresh, so~ that means what ever went in this direction broke it?" as he says slightly confused
"how can I be sure?"

"Well... You cant ever be certain. You just have to follow the clues and trust your gut!"
