Writing ballads
The deeds of fantasy heroes deserve to be celebrated in song! I'm writing some original songs from an IG perspective, but I've only been around for three games so I don't know most of the grand tales from experience. If anyone thinks a particular mod or event is worthy of a ballad, post the story here and I'll see how much of Epoch's oral history I can put to music.

Write a song about the almost race war between men and elves

Re: Writing ballads
Though it is probably better told from a player perspective, one of the earliest 'grand' events was the Holdfasters' escape from a dream-like plane they were all caught in. It was posing as reality and seemed to be Holdfast but as time grew short they realized the 'walls' of it were closing in and they would be eradicated. (I forget if this is exactly the reasoning... it has been four years since that, I believe) A goofy shepherd within that plane and a ritualist (who I believe has returned just this past game to help recover the Circles) worked with Holdfast to perform a ritual and help them escape in time. They all stood in a circle in the field about a sigil laid on the ground and chanted words guided by the shepherd and ritualist. As they did this, they fell asleep within that dream and woke up back in the real Holdfast, the shepherd and ritualist gone. I may be hazy on the details, but it was a fun way to transition sites; we used the mod to explain the OOG difference in moving from our backyard to a proper site, hahah. I think there was also something about finding thr shepherd's lost sheep? Maybe not.

Yeah, cause the shephard came up to us at the first game at MacShack and was like "Can you help me find my sheep?" and we were all like "Eh, I guess we'll keep an eye out. Can't promise we won't turn them into sausages though." And after game we all laughed about how we totally dismissed that plotline. Then the next game, he showed up and basically said "Find my sheep, or you're stuck in the dream world forever." And we were like "Okay fine, we'll go look."
