"I believe Lord Water has beaten us to the punch." Verbena nods to Lexicus. "Glad to see you're still with us. Have you seen anyone else out there? Well," she tilts her head, considering, "as much as anyone can be seen considering the opacity of the air." Verbena has put a roll on a plate but hasn't eaten any of it, instead absent-mindedly pulling off tiny pieces and setting them aside.

[Ceridwynn Fildais]

"Oh hey Lexicus! Good to see youre alive. You been out by the Earth circle?" Ceridwynn smirks "Wait why are we declaring war on elemental lords? Dont think Asher would be happy about that."

[Torvallis!]

Torvallis! looks at Ceridwyn, and motions towards the windows of the inn, in an exaggerated sweeping gesture that involves their entire upper body.

[Lexicus]

"H-haven't s-seen anyone." Lexicus replies, teeth chattering. "I was j-just at the Earth circle. N-need to make s-sure no one comes after any of th-the circles. E-everyone's i-inside." He explains, clutching each finger, trying to warm them individually.

[Verbena Domitia]

Verbena looks at Lexicus incredulously. 'I'm glad to hear that everyone's inside, but you don't honestly believe anyone would attack the circles under these circumstances?"

[Torvallis!]

"Well, it is an attack on the fire circle . . . I better go check that out soon. After warming up a bit"

[Lexicus]

"I d-don't think A-Ascended care about c-cold weather."

[Ceridwynn Fildais]

Ceridwynn laughs "Noones going to fuck with the circles in this. Imagine, Nero snowshoeing menacingly into Holdfast. Hed freeze too, just like the Rakash. We could solve all our problems in one go!" They rub their hands together, holding them toward the stove "Its not gonna be fun digging the circles out of this though. Ardin better be on his way back, im not digging out the earth circle by myself."

[Torvallis!]

"Oh, that's not terribly much of a problem. Have you ever heard of snow clearing through use of excessive fire?"

[Mo'chi]

The kaern sat by the fire, shivering wordlessly for a bit. At least he was warming up now.

Mo'chi laughed at the mental image of Nero menacingly snowshoeing into Holdfast. Maybe Godo did feel the cold and was freezing. Maybe this is how we beat him, he chuckled. Sufficiently warmed up, he also waved at Lexicus.


"I'll help to dig out the earth circle." He wrote. It was the least he could so. "The faerie circle, too." Faerie and Lord Earth would probably appreciate it. Maybe. Either way, he wanted to be able to get to those circles. He couldn't use fire, though.

[Lexicus]

The elf gives a small wave back to Mo'chi. "Perhaps you're right Ceridwynn, but someone has to keep an eye on these circles... Especially with two missing champions..." Lexicus looks out the window. It had to be nearly three months now since Ardin ran away. "I'll help dig as well."

[Ceridwynn Fildais]

Ceridwynn looks a bit surprised, smiling "Thanks guys. I'll uh...keep that in mind, T! We don't exactly want to burn the circle into oblivion. You're right Lexicus, we gotta keep an eye on the earth circle while Ardins away. I've been heading there a few times each day to keep the place clear but this is gonna be harder to clean up. I hope Lord Earth or Faery don't get too mad at me if I don't visit tonight. What a terrible thing to lose my horns over." They peek out the snow-covered window again "Wait, there's another champ missing? Are Asher and Auron stuck out of town?"

[Torvallis!]

"Fah, I clear the area round the fire circle with fire all the time, and I've never singed it even once! Mildly flooded it the first couple of times, tho . . ."

[Ceridwynn Fildais]

"Uh...please dont flood the earth circle. Also wouldnt a circle be immune to its own element? Its like throwing fire at fire, you dont singe the fire, you just get more fire?"

[Torvallis!]

"I'm am not familiar with this so-called "earth circle". Do you mean the Mud Circle? The one that's permanently in a pile of mud? Like, foot deep thick mud? Like, surrounded by 15 feet of mud in every direction? That one?", Torvallis! says in a perfectly flay, atonal voice

[Ceridwynn Fildais]

"What." Ceridwynn stares at them for a moment "Sometimes the earth circle is muddy but it aint no mud circle! You sure you arnt just going to far toward the lake? I think someone wouldve said if we had a mud circle..."

[Torvallis!]

"Okay. You know how sometimes you step next to the earth circle and you sink down to your-", Torvallis! pauses, then places their hand at about the level of Ceridwyn's head, squints at it, moves their head around a little getting different angles, "-shoulders? The earth circle is already always flooded, trust me, it won't hurt it"

[Ceridwynn Fildais]

"Sounds like you need a pair of hooves or better shoes."

[Torvallis!]

"Find me a pair of shoes that can walk on water, and you know I'll be happy to wear them"

[Mo'chi]

Mo'chi laughs at the argument and writes. "It's mud. Lord Earth likes dirt- he probably likes all the mud around his circle."

[Ceridwynn Fildais]

"IF I could find shoes like that, what makes you think id give them to you, huh?!" Ceridwynn nods "See, Mo'chi gets it. Muds good for crops...sometimes"

[Torvallis!]

"I never said mud was bad? I just said that you don't have to worry about the earth circle being flooded anymore than it already is."

[Ceridwynn Fildais]

"Well we dont need more mud. More water means more mud...wait youre a fire mage, how did you flood the fire circle??"

[Torvallis!]

"It turns out that ice, when posed to fire, becomes water briefly before it become steam. Incidentally, steam is the only form of water that I find tasteful."

"That must suck when you get thirsty then. Why dont you just go burn all the snow away?"
