Hugo's astral form seems preoccupied

Hugo's image is projected from the land of the dead into the material plane, visible only to psychics. He appears as seated in the inn, Intently writing on page after page of parchment. Though in the material plane, where he is writing, there is a pie placed upon the table where his parchment lies in another plane, obscuring one's view of his writings even to the psychics of the material plane.

Every now and then he glances up from his work to scan the Inn for any psychic who might recognize his presence, or for friendly faces in the land of the dead with whom he could strike up a conversation.
