she doesn’t greet the circle with warmth.

nor does she say goodbye.

Wanting more, the psychic tendril latches on to her, and tug.

Not today.

She breaks herself free from the circle, and immediately creates distance between it and herself. She heads home.

She renters the inn, and sits down for supper. With a lot on her mind, and what feels like the world on her shoulders, she eats her supper in silence.
