Dear Mom...

Dear Mom...
*The hour late a, becoming familiar, halfling heads out towards the ring. A look around before flipping the cloak so the shimmer red dimmed and the matte black clock revealed. Disappearing into the forest behind the watch tower, watching for any guard cycles. Give it to the guild. War was over and they still were keeping a good eye. Before promptly tripping over a tree branch.*
"I'm fine. It's alright..." *looking around and no one revealing themselves* "Well if you were there it be polite to say hello" *stopping for a moment to listen before mumbling a curse, touching a finger to their heart, drawing a mana from their bag rather then rummaging in the dark and casting* "With Fire I Light my Way" *touching upon a close by branch that would make the perfect walking stick, mumbling more as they walked* "Needn't have bothered flipping the cloak" *points towards a root practically reaching for their foot* "Nope not this time" *shakes their head finally getting the top of the hill overlooking the fairy ring, promptly plopping legs spread, toes wiggling in their sandals. "The cloak the other way is warmer." *a deep sigh, before getting up, flipping the cloak and sitting back down, legs tucked in the cloak* "I already put on boots before the Month of Darkness"
*the elderly halfling stopped their grumbling and sat calmly, Feeling the wind flow through the Forest, Listening if the Sacred Tree Growing had a whisper to add. Smelling the leaves begin to compost, Watching mushrooms grow...was like...watching bricks harden*
"Nope, not happening. I'm not sitting here patiently until you deem to talk to me." *tosses one of each elemental mana in to the ring like a game of ring toss*
"Knock Knock, Knock Knock..." *in a sing song voice, offkey, before exhaling deeply* "to be fair sometimes it works and you have in your own way encouraged this behavior, Mom"
*grabs small stones and makes a campfire no bigger then a side plate on top of the hill, a tiny bonfire to scale as if upon a mountain, finally lighting it and continuing to feed it twigs*
"I heard they asked and you helped. Thank you...and that is prolly that...yep"
*seems to brush hands and about to get up, seemingly done, before a sharp change and sits back down*
"Very well... that isn't it..."
*adjusting the new walking stick beside them to dim it's light, they seems to fidget a bit and continue feeding the small flame*
"I hope the cost for the help isn't to sharp...They fought hard and did you proud. Anyway..."
*tends the small bonfire upon the mountain...watching mushrooms grow for a bit*

Re: Dear Mom...
*exhales again deeply...bored for the lack of better word...the mushrooms did not make a sizable change*
*continuing to feed their mini bonfire. Their mind drifting and mumbling as they consider the new puzzle*
"Some kind of magical anchor." *pulls out note book* "Those should work for tethering...4 is powerful here" *the magi's eyes drifting over to the general direction of the psychic circle...* "The wild card...what are they talking to through there..." *humphs quietly* "A tale that needs to be told still..." *shrugs and goes back to doodling in the notepad*
"If you would help with the anchor" *raises eyebrow at the fairy ring* "I figured that was the answer...direct as always"
