Small Steps Forward.

As the summer sun begins to sink into the afternoon, Drixar makes his was through the paths now familiar to him towards the area where the Fire Circle resides. It’s been a couple months now since the near death encounter of the Mists had claimed a piece of him. His fears ever present.

Cautiously, Drixar sits down by the Circle (or, as close as he can will himself to) and sits silently amongst the trees. He listens to how the woods around him moves and stirs in the wind, almost as if it was attempting to comfort him. Maybe soon he can inch closer to the circle, eventually reaching his goal of facing his fear of the flames. For now, however, sitting and staring into the fire circle seems nice enough.

Soaking in the sun and sights of the circle, he floats a hand up to feel his new horns and how they’ve gotten longer. Maybe, just maybe, fire isn’t as scary as it once was.
