Familiar Faces Return

[Rudi]

A familiar howl of greeting is heard from the direction to the path to Applevale, followed by the sight of Rudi walking back into town. Tired, but whole and alive.

[Rosco Agassi]

"Drixar you have to come inside, your fingers are turning bl—" The howl cuts through Rosco's scolding. He looks around, wondering what arluru would be coming into town, considering Dog was somewhere behind him. Then it hits him, the howl had something uniquely human to it. "Rudi!" He manages to get her name out just before she comes into view. He launches off the porch and through the thick snow, cursing as he stumbles and he practically falls into her, wrapping her in a warm embrace before pulling away to look her over. "You're alive! And uninjured and—" he stops, and a flash of worry crosses his face. "where's Rook?"

[Drixar]

Drix is sheepishly listening to today's scolding when he too hears the howl. Thew blue horned faun perks up, and chases after Rosco to greet Rudi while calling out over his shoulder. "DOG!! QUICK, ITS RUDI!", However Rosco's question draws him to fall quiet as he takes his place next to him.

[Dog]

Dog LEAPS into action when he hears Drixar call out, running out of the inn and towards the applevale path, stopping only when he's effectively tackled rudi to the ground (not actually, he just gives a very enthusiastic hug) and confirmed to himself that she's real and alive.

"How was it? What happened? Where's rook?"

[Rudi]

Rudi is momentarily thrown off balance by Dog tackling her, and takes a moment to rub noses with him, Drixar, and Rosco before replying. "Rook is fine. He's back home with his family, and we were successful in our mission. Theo should be along shortly- I think he mentioned something about checking traps before coming back to town. A few things happened on the journey, but no one died or got in too much trouble."

She drew in a breath. "I'm cold, and pretty tired, but I'll tell you all about it over a warm cup of cider if there is any." Rudi smiled, and started slowly walking towards the inn.
