At the inn Before Potato day

[Volkihere Malacalo]

The door to the tavern opens. Volk walks in goes and gets some water and looks around at the people...

He speaks slowly,
"The earth circle is doing well, (he sips his water) I've been keeping the snow off it. How is everyone else?"
He sips his water.
"Is there a potato celebration this year?"

[Borin Ironhammer]

Borin sits at the back of the tavern. "There is lad, the potatoes haven't arrived yet." He says pointing at the note pinned to the wall that clearly explained the situation with potato day. "They should arrive early tomorrow morning."

[Volkihere Malacalo]

Volk does not react he just continues to look off in the distance with a blank stare.

"Thank you Borin, it's good to see you have returned. Is your grandfather back?"
He says without emoting, and more distant than usual.

[Horns]

Horns knows the answer to that question, and hastily changes the topic. "V-volk, you seem m-more distant than usual!" He manages. "Is something going on?"

[Volkihere Malacalo]

He tilts his head slightly.
"Good... Morning Cloricon (It's obviously night) is something going on."
Horns realizes he hasn't seen Volk talk to anyone, or heard of him doing anything with anyone. You see him leave the bunkhouse in the morning, and he return late at night, and you haven't seen him during the day. This is the first time you had spoken to him in months.
"Does something seem wrong?"
He stares at you blankly.

"... Yes."
