Hunting Party Of One

[Ravira]

Ravira sniffs the air with interest as she pads around the outside edges of Holdfast. She spies tracks of a large moose who's walked by recently and follows them silently, winding around trees and bushes while avoiding piles of crunchy leaves.
Soon she sees the brown furry bottom of the moose she's been tracking. Her sharp claws extend in anticipation.

She tenses her leg muscles and wiggles her bum ever so slightly. She lunges at the moose that hasn't noticed her yet. She sprints the 10 feet or so to the animal and jumps on it's startled back. With swift movement she grabs the 8 point rack by one antler and jerks it to the right. With her left hand she swipes her claws across his throat and leaps back.
Ravira runs to stand and watch her kill drop from a short distance away for safety.

After it does down and takes it's final breath Ravira gets out her knives to start skinning and cleaning the carcass.  She cuts the usable meat off and puts it into a large sack and ties it to a backpack.  She drapes the skin over the back pack and starts to remove the antlers thinking that it might fetch a good price at the Inn considering they could be whittled into knives, combs, etc. or even just put on the wall as a decoration.

She heaves the now very heavy pack onto her back and starts the days journey back to the Inn to sell her kill. Humming happily she steps carefully back toward her den and kitten.
