Hunting With Hammers
Before heading to the woods again on another hunting trip Darcy sits on a rock on the edge of the field and cleans her throwing hammers.

Not twenty paces from where Darcy sits, the underbrush lining the edge of the forest rustles ever so slightly as a small rabbit strides out tentatively. It is sensing everything in the air vivaciously, but does not seem to be considering Darcy a threat. It scans the field sporadically as it slowly makes its way across to the patch of reeds by the water.

Darcy slow lays her clean cloth down on the ground and grips a hammer in each hand. As she adjusts her grip on each she rises from her sitting position into a crouch facing the little animal, careful not to make a sound and only moving when the rabbit isn't looking in her direction.

It is evident to Darcy that the rabbit, with its keen peripherals, can see her clearly. Though it keeps her in sight as it slowly hops towards the shoreline it still seems unwary of her, even in her stalking motion.

Lifting her right hand over her head she wields a hammer back slowly. Quietly.
She lets go in a quick smooth motion, aiming for the head and hoping for a quick kill.

Re: Hunting With Hammers
The rabbit starts when it sees Darcy's sudden motion and begins to move, but its body does not have enough time to react to the projectile. Its head only partially avoids the hammer, causing the bludgeon to turn its head with the more than glancing blow. It lets out a shrill squeak that seems to halt halfway through as it almost immediately topples onto its side, dead. But something looks odd from Darcy's perspective... is that the sun reflecting on it or is the rabbit aglow with something? It looks like it is slowly pulsating with light.
