She whispers something in Mirisis ear. Mirisi approaches Degren with his Guandao.

"Sorry about this." He says before raising his weapon above his head, and bringing it down on Degren.

Eyes wide, Degren sidesteps out of the coming weapon, pSudden Clarityeasily avoiding the attack.

"What're ye at?!" He quickly double checks himself, ensuring he's still alright, "What's going on?"

[Kuromori, Taka]

Taka watches Degren's newly acquired psychic aura flash and disappear as he dodges Mirisi's Guandao. She was amused the whole time, but still felt a sense of relief when it worked.

"Well that certainly seemed to work Sylvie." She says, completely dismissing the quarrel growing between Degren and Mirisi.

[Sylvie]

"Sorry Degren, I had to see if the ability worked! I have to restore my states, but come visit me at my tent and I'll give you a free one for your trouble."

"How was that, Taka? Do you think I've gotten that hang of it? Is there anything else I should know?"

[Kuromori, Taka]

"I think you've got it. Just remember you can also use it to make people Psychic, but that only lasts an hour. The disciplines themselves will last a bit longer, but not indefinitely; a couple days, never as much as a month."

Before leaving, Degren turns to Taka, "Taka! If you've got a few minutes, I was hoping to ask you for a favor. We're working on enchanting a magical item, but we need the aid of a powerful psychic. During the ritual, we'd need to charge the item with as much psychic power as possible... If you, and, " Turning to Slyvie, " Also you, Sylvie, if you wouldn't mind, would be willing to help us, we'd be very appreciative."

"I... well perhaps? What would it do? Do you understand how long I'd have to spend meditating?"

"We understand it'd be a large favor to ask, yes... We're looking to impart an item with defensive abilities against psychic influence. To do that, it needs to be charged with Psychic power."

"I... can't say I could do that for free. Honestly it would probably be easier for me to attune you with the ways of psychic and teach you how to dismiss such influences on your own than it would be for me to regenerate all of the psychic energy it sounds like you're requesting."
