[Degren Brightforge]

Large pieces of paper are posted throughout the settlement, in the inn, bunkhouse, and at every circle. They read:

ATTENTION:

Our world is threatened. We do not face death and pillaging, but utter annihilation. The end of all things stands at our doorstep, and we must band together to defeat it, or fade away to nothing.If we wish to continue surviving, we must face the coming tide as one. This is a call to arms.

The Order is rallying our fighters, but we are not enough to stem the coming tide. We need to bolster our ranks with fighters, healers, mages, and any able-bodied person. Everyone will have a purpose.

If you wish to give yourself to a greater cause, sign your name at the bottom of this document. You will be added to the roster, and split into teams.

Not only do we require warriors, but also supplies. Potions, spare armor, weapons, mana, metal, silver, blade oil, recipes, antidotes, coin, and anything else we can muster. If you wish to add something to our supply, please give any donations to a Knight, or Lady Val.  

Spread the word. Be sure everyone reads this message. There is nowhere we can hide, and no one will escape the consequences of our failure. Give everyone a chance to take their own fate into their hands. Join us.

Auron approaches the notice. "Well, I assume my participation is implied - but it'd be better not to rely on that assumption for anyone."

He signs his name.

[Krond Thuliaga]

Krond walks by the notice board but stops when he recognizes Degren’s sloppy handwriting. He reads the letter, “he should know to count on me” he says matter-of-factly.

He signs his name.

[Kuromori, Taka]

Taka wanders over to the fighters crowded around the notice board. "What are you all looking at?"

[Degren Brightforge]

"Hello Taka," Degren says, waving to her, " With the Rift situation coming to a head, we've decided to band our forces together, " He reads off the poster, " We need everyone to come together, or we'll all just stop existing. If you're interested, I can sign you up. It'll be like joining an army, but just for this one fight. After the threat has passed, there will be no lingering responsibility, I assure you."

[Kuromori, Taka]

"Yeah, I'll help you fight to keep existing; sign me up"

[Auron Warfield]

"Excellent, Taka. I'm glad we can count on you." Auron says with a smile. "Spread the word, if you can. Hopefully we can convince many more to join the cause."

*Morpha notices people crowding around the paper*

"What's this?"

[Degren Brightforge]

"We're glad to have you with us, Taka." Degren signs her name under the sign, adding it to the list.

[Talia Swanheart]

Talia walks into the inn, cheerfully humming. She is very happy that the snow from yesterday is gone and the sun is shining again. Her humming and happiness comes to a quick halt when she sees everyone around the notice board.

“Hey everyone.” she says, “ what’s going on?”.

[Auron Warfield]

"Ah, hello Morpha. We're trying to gather a list of people who are willing to help mount an organized defense against the beings from the Rift. It doesn't have to be strictly combat support - any kind of assistance is going to help. If you're interested, sign your name at the bottom or let one of us know."

Auron turns to greet Talia as she enters, and offers her a similar rundown of the situation.

"Oh yes, the rift.. "

*Morpha signs the document. The signature looks vaguely like a fish*

[Talia Swanheart]

“Well, I can’t sit back and watch the world be destroyed now can I?”
She walks over to the board and signs her name.

[Marr]

Walks in intending to get a proper drink and sees the posted sign and just sighs... takes out quill and jogs just Marr below Talias name.
"sigh, well i'll be back"
takes a drink out of his water skin and leaves tavern heading out of town

[Auron Warfield]

Auron looks at the list, a slightly disappointed look on his face. "Hmm... There has to be a way to generate more interest in this operation." he says out loud to no one in particular.

"If we don't get more support, the best we can hope for is an honorable death on the battlefield."

[Gurok]

The name Gurok is written at the bottom of the list, in a shakey attempt a elegant signature.

[Zar/Herr]

Herr reads the note and list of names; he speaks to Degren (if he's still around, i can't tell.) saying "i'm going to help but i have a team and as such, don't want to write my name to be added to a team. i suppose you could just give me some tasks to fulfill and i'll pass it along."
after a second long pause.. "if that's the intention of making teams."

[Degren Brightforge]

Degren stops, "You have a team? Who?"

[Micheal Grayflow]

Michael walks into the Inn and over to the notice.
"I'll sign myself up, but I wonder if anyone involved with the College wants to join?"
Michael says as he signs his name, title and all.

[Zar/Herr]

Herr speaks to Degren.
"Adelaide and i have gotten on better terms, so we plan to work together and a friend of mine said he'd be in town.. so there's three of us!"

(OOG: My IRL friend is coming in as "Himmel" and he would be the third, however, Herr hasn't actually seen him yet and won't until sometime Friday. The friend Herr is talking about doesn't actually exist. I was hoping the three of us could work together.)

[Degren Brightforge]

"If you want your own team, and you have it put together, then I have no issue with you guys sticking together. Work with who you're used to. Battle rapport is important. If you like, and they wouldn't mind, why not add their names, too. At least we know who we'll have available when the time comes."

[Zar/Herr]

“Alright” Herr agrees, and writes down the names “Herr, Adelaide, and Monty” with the last two names indented beneath his.

[Lady Val]

Lady Val walks into the Inn some time later and sees the note. She reads the names and takes note of whom is with whom. She writes a note at the bottom.
