Fire Tier Training

[Zar/Herr]

Herr Stands near the fire circle, gazing at the water between the trees. He’s learned all he can about water magic, aside from spells; presumably, the prcoess for learning fire magic should be the opposite.

He eagerly waits for Jaya.

[Torvallis!]

Torvallis!, apparently packed to leave town again, drops by the fire circle to pray to Lord Fire. They nod at Zar, before sitting next to the circle and praying.

[Jaya]

Jaya approaches the fire circle happily. She has had a few people interested in learning fire magic lately and she is more than happy to teach. Seeing Herr and Torvallis she stops and waves.

"Hello, beautiful day, Lord Fire and faerie be praised we finally have some good weather around here."

[Torvallis!]

"The sun has been very pleasant on the road. I was worried we'd have another summer such as last"

[Zar/Herr]

Having briefly smiled at T! when they came by, Herr states:
“Yes, the weather is fine. I don’t mind either way, really.”
He walks closer to Jaya.
“Now, i do want to try and all-but-master fire magic today. No need to worry about the basics. That’s possible, right?”

[Jaya]

Jaya smiles this makes her third student now how exciting!

"Yes it's defiantly possible to be taught, retaining everything you learn may be tricky but I'm defiantly willing to try. I'm glad to see such an eager student, Lord Fire will be pleased.

Fire to me is very passionate and tied to your emotions. Channeling ones rage, anger, frustration into their magic during combat is common and easy but fire can be fueled by many different things. Sure it's easy to throw a flame at someone out of anger but where does that power come from when you're not angry? What happens when you just want to light the forge? Or make a flame to see by? My love and passion for magic, my pride of being champion and before that my determination to become champion, love and dedication of my friends and my own dedication to them, the circle and the town. All these things help fuel the flames for me.

What are you passionate about? What can you use to fuel the embers you have started and breath life into them and create a burning flame?"

[Zar/Herr]

Herr laughs
“Oh, i’m not sure you want to ask that question, considering my still recent trial, all the emotion that cane with it, and how, like i said, most of the passion i feel towards a lot of people is hate!”

Smile fading, he continues “sure, there’s a couple of people and things here i feel positive compassion towards but it’s not as potent or plentiful as my anger, by far.”

“I guess i could say i’m passionate about what the people here think of me.”

[Jaya]

"Anger isn't necessarily a bad thing fire can be a burning rage that consumes everything in its path. I was just saying more than anger can be channeled and fire has many sides to it.

As you've heard the people of town actually respected you, it's still there people are just cautious after your trial. Let that motivate you. I'm sure learning fire magic will help your reputation and make you more confidant. " Jaya smiles and sits near the forge.

"What kind of things would you like to be able to do with fire? Any particular spell you'd like or are you just seeking power?"

[Zar/Herr]

“So you did.

See, that’s a funny thing, i think they respect me because i didn’t resist death. I don’t think it’s because i stick to my word, or that i’m almost always honest, or that i’m powerful; just that i died a few times or whetever.” He says tolling his eyes. “Well, with some exception..”

Smiling slighty, “i really don’t think learning more magic will improve my reputation. If beig powerful did that, i wouldn’t have to worry about it!

I’m just interested in gaining power with fire. Since i’ve mastered water, fire is the next step. Currently, i only intend to use it to make void mana. Then i learn earth, then i learn air. Simple!”

Herr sits neat Jaya.

[Torvallis!]

"I think people respect you for a few reasons more than that. They've seen how your dishonesty can be used for the town, not just against it. And your trickster nature did allow us to discover the race of Imps and the effects they have against both the Axis and Jenny.

You may be able to channel ideas coming from your trickster nature with fire . . . coolness and subterfuge is something that's normally water's cruel domain, but there is such a thing as the patient ember that lights the forest fire.

With that in mind, if you take your passion for trickery and use it to redirect and move fire about, you might be able to manage a lot of technical manipulation that will make up for any lack in power"

[Zar/Herr]

Herr laughs.
"maybe, but I don't have enough faith to really believe that! it's a nice thought though. thanks."

To no one in particular, he says:
"so, how exactly am i supposed to use passion for fire? i think i understand, but i don't think i could apply it right now, you know?"
