Notice of Election

Citizens of Holdfast,

As many of you may know, our annual election is coming up. Ideally, this will be held Sunday morning. This election will determine the members of the council for the upcoming year. Sheriff position(s) are still under discussion, we will update when possible.

Any citizen of Holdfast is welcome to run for a position on the council. If you’re interested, we encourage you to sign your name below, and prepare a short speech to be read during election, highlighting why you think you would be an asset. Please inform our illiterate of this opportunity as well. You are permitted to nominate somebody else, but they may decide whether or not to accept the nomination. We will allow time for nominations during the election. Number of votes will be discussed at the time of election. You may not vote for someone more than once. Current sheriffs, current council members, and nominees will be permitted the same number of votes as other town members. All votes will be anonymous, and will be counted by the current sheriffs.

If you wish to run, but will not be present Sunday, please contact a sheriff with your speech. We will ensure it is read.

In the event Sunday morning is unsuitable, we will postpone until dusk.
