Purple in the Night Sky

Described scene:

As night falls, the western sky remains illuminated by an ominous glow. The purple aura visible in the months leading up to the attack on Providence has begun to intensify again. It is not as bright as it once was — yet. Each night, the glow becomes noticeably stronger.

Within a few weeks, the light will almost certainly surpass its previous peak intensity.
