"I agree. A squad of medics would be awesome. What about a Mage squad? "

"A mage squad would be ill-advised, I feel. Mages in battle work best as amplifiers to the other members of their squad, so they would need to fall under individual consideration.

Were we to have a large number of aware mages who could link together, then perhaps mini-squads of them would be well-advised, as they could boost each other to enormous levels of magic.

As it is, my talents are currently best served with the medics, and linking with Lady Val to enchant the weapons of the fighters as they leave. Earth mages are best either providing immediate healing, or binding enemies to the ground as part of a larger unit of fighters. Water mages are most useful dead. Air mages are best . . . I don't know, actually. What can air mages do?"

"I've narry a clue. Fly maybe?"

"hmm a nice crested hem would will the role quite well, i'll have to put in for one when i hear back on my pension"

"Helms are a pain in the beard to craft, lad. Certainly a large red cape could help?"

Marcus slowly looks over his shoulder the the long flowing red cap he wore in

"oh yeah"

Degren stands up and stumbles to the kitchen. Taking two large handfuls of Torvaliss' delicious stuffed biscuitsw, he saunters back to the table, " Had a bit too much to drink, there, Marcus?"

Marcus then looks to his glass and chuckles to himself

"perhaps friend, perhaps. oh well nothing a little patrol around the camp wont fix"

Marcus takes to his fee, grams his maul and walks out the back door.

"take care friends!"

he bellows as the door shuts behind him. only to reopen seconds later for Marcus to hurriedly nick a loaded biscuit and pip off again

Degren chuckles and stuffs his face with the remaining piece of bread, stands up and throws his shield over his shoulder. "Alrighty, lads, you two have a good night. Torvallis, don't set anything, or anyone on fire, and Hugo, good luck with that whole not talking thing. I've gotta go see a man about some metal," he throws his cloak over himself and, with a wave, disappears into the night and snow.

Hugo notices how everyone is heading out, and decides to do so himself.

As he leaves, He sticks up a note on the wall.

"Looking for net. If you have any spare nets, please let me know. -Hugo"
