Lady Val sees that things are getting out of hand. "Degrin, there are other things I need to tell you. Things that I need to tell you in private. Are we able to talk, just ourselves?"

[Degren Brightforge]

Out of hand? I believe everyone here is going alright. I myself am riding a rapidly increasing wave of drunkenness that only promise to get better. I'll agree, a few of my friends may have taken things rather poorly, but they'll come around. They are upset. They've formed close bonds to Pierre and the very fact that he might not come back is enough to upset them. I'm certain they'll come back into their senses before too long.

Now that is an ominous sounding thing them hungover hear, Lady Val. I'm interested to know what it is you would like to say.

[Gurok]

OOG: The only people I can currently see in the inn are Lady Val, degrin, Herr, Malva, Phinnius, and Lessa in her dark corner, is that right?

[Quintessence]

Quin's face brightens as she notices Degren enter, thinking surely this is a good sign...however she's less hopeful once she realizes he isn't followed by any of the other knights, and is starting to drink rather rapidly.

Quin perks up, straightening her posture and listening attentively when she hears Lady Val begin to speak. She holds her expression steady as she listens to the account of the happenings in the mists.

Quin gives Lady Val a moment or two before approaching and bowing towards her fellow elf. "Sister...it is good to have you back."

She also bows towards Lessa and accepts the offered drinks "And you as well, Sister. Thank you." She then steps back as the two engage with Degren. As she steps back she kicks a bottle and notices the singing coming from nearby. She listens, knowing that as odd as Yawgo seems, there is wisdom to be found in his words...if one can suss them out of the nonsense. She moves out of the way as the large kaern emerges, gains his footing and heads out.

She sits back down with a small audible sigh, and begins sipping at the drink so kindly provided by Lessa.

[Lady Val]

Once finished speaking with Degren in private Lady Val comes over to speak with Quinn for a private discussion as well. She looks visibly tired and not her usual self.

[Degren Brightforge]

Degren reenters the inn and seats himself at the table. His drunken buzz nearly gone, he sips his drink and reclines. After another hour of drinking and eating, he stands up, collects his things, gives a nod to the others, and leaves the inn for the camp.

[Gurok]

Gurok sighs as Yawgo emerges and walks out the door. She looks around to see who remains, pours two drinks, and aproaches Malva and offeres her one of the drinks.

[Keket]

-keket would wait to val to be done staying out of hear but seems to keeping an eye on her as she would move to get a drink from lessa and one for lady val nodding to her as shed gets the drink then goes to pass one to lady val and Quin if need be as she has not left from the inn as shed give gurok a nod as well eyeing yawgo and taking what he said into mind-

Quin acknowledges the need for a more private location and suggests to Lady Val the last place they had a serious private conversation. And with that she excuses herself from the inn and heads out the back door.

[Lady Val]

Lady Val follows her wearily. Before leaving she hands out some of the sweet cakes Lessa gave her in the Mists from the basket Bikbun was carrying for her, one to Keket, one to Volk, one to Lessa, one to Gurok, one to Herr, one to Malva, one to Bikbun, and one to Phineas (assuming they want them). If anyone else is in the tavern they also receive a sweet cake if they want one.

At the bottom of the pile she finds a delicate cherry cake wrapped in a handkerchief. Lady Val looks confused, surprised, and suddenly thankful to whoever placed it there for the much needed caffeine and sugar. She leaves it in the basket but plucks off a cherry from the top. Although it tastes less full as it did in the Mists she smiles at the flavour.

Once everyone has had their fill of sweet cakes, Val follows Quinn outside.

(Head cannon: The sweet cakes are cute and floral and multicoloured, maybe Herr gets a blue one )

Malva smiles and declines the drink, but cannot resist the small floral cakes

[Phineas J. Pennefeather]

The Halfling Tavern-keeper Phineas J. Pennefeather cleans up as most of the locals move on after the meeting comes to an end.  With a careful and respectful hand, Phineas tidies up the remaining Elven Sweets left behind by Lady Val and the others, displaying the special treat in a way only an experienced hotelier can.

He carefully inspects the treats, smiles and goes about his cooking of the bear-meat stew while roasting tender cuts over the open-fire.

With everything quieting down, Phineas keeps busy at the food preparation counter while occasionally consulting a book that he keeps tucked away in his vest pocket.
