Didn't play well with other characters, too shallow in existing connections to play on, (I had depth in the character concept, but didn't connect to anyone on any of those parts, rookie mistake), difficult to demonstrate deep parts of the character and hence develop them meaningfully.

Unless there's politics going on, in which case Durkis can shine, but if you haven't noticed, there aren't any.

I wonder If Joy is too much like me. I don't want Joy to just be me in a wig with a funny accent. Then again, I'm still learning how to play the character better. And she is missing key skills that she would otherwise have if not for OOG reasons. And honestly, it's not a terrible thing that she's overly similar to me as long as people enjoy interacting with her in game. And I don't normally play as ranged characters or Halflings in any sort of RPG.

But yeah, Durkis has issues when it's all fight and no politics, because he is no fight and all politics.

Not just fight, but also most socialization besides politics. People's characters don't want to engage with them in a social light because of how they were presented, even if people giggle at the ideas of where their character and Durkis could go if they did socialize.

It was fun. So it turns out Vadim set a record for fastest time between coming into game as an alchemist and making a potion, the same game. Apparently most of the alchemists don't make a single potion in their first few games.

I've never successfully made a potion. I originally made Torvallis! to branch out to being an alchemist, but I got cock-blocked for so long I held off, and then Malva got blocked so long, it's just no longer even an interest. I keep forgetting I *have* alchemy.

I think we've just gotten to the point where we've thankfully developed alchemy enough.

If I wanted to do alchemy, I don't feel discouraged from it anymore.

But for Torvallis!, the character just wandered away from Alchemy and never looked back
