Zero's Training Seminar 1.0

Zero strolls into the inn, a long sheet of parchment in hand. She tacks it front and center on the notice board before grabbing a full mug of ale, downing it swiftly, and heading towards Mercs Camp.


The note reads (in shitty, rushed, but legible penmanship):

"Citizens and friends of Holdfast,


With a war upon us, it has been suggested by the late Degren Brightforge that we host a training seminar. I will be hosting this seminar, along with any interested and skilled trainers (see below). If you want to stand with us in battle, this is a great opportunity to prepare yourself. This opportunity is open to anyone and everyone willing to wield a weapon. Date is yet to be determined, but it will be held before the army descends on us again.

Along with students, I need TRAINERS. If you believe yourself to be the best in town with your weapon of choice (including masters of all weapons), please consider offering your training services at this event.

If you plan to attend to learn, please sign on the left below. If you have a specific weapon in mind, please list it after your name.

If you wish to be a trainer, please sign on the right, with what you wish to train afterwards, along with a gauge of your skill, represented by a number from 1-5. 1 being basic level training, 2 novice, 3 intermediate, 4 advanced, 5 expert.

Will post another notice when a date is decided.

(OOG note: The sheet below is divided into four columns, trainee and trainer, with a space for preferred weapon after each. Ƶ has signed under the first trainer column, with Bastard Sword 3.5 in the second.)



(Other OOG notes,
-I based the 1-5 scale on a scale of 1-10 in weapon skills. So dagger 1 would be a 1, whereas dagger 10 would be a 5, etc.
-this will be a between games event, run by the players.)

[Jaya]

Jaya walks into the inn after tending to The Hanged Man for a while and locking up. She reads the note and adds her name to the left side

Jaya Staff and potentially shortbow

[Lexicus]

Lexicus sees the notice while passing through the inn. After taking a moment to read it, he takes a pen from his bag and signs his name as a trainee. He then writes staff as his weapon of choice. Satisfied, he walks away.

[Ardin Gallagher]

Ardin signs himself as an intermediately-trained shield trainer.

[Kuromori, Taka]

Taka signs up as looking to improve her grapple, willing to teach any melee combat to 1/5 (0.5/5?), and two-weapon fighting to mastery.

[Micheal Grayflow]

Michael signs up as a Trainee, he writes down that he wishes to be a novice with a Bastard Sword, just a hair above his basic knowledge.

Satisfied, he turns and walks out of the Inn.

"This seminar will be held on the day of the full moon, during our day of rest. Meet me in the field for mid-day.
